Platform Software Engineer (Senior/Staff)
ICEYE
ICEYE builds and operates a SAR satellite constellation and runs the platform that handles satellite tasking and image delivery. The role is a senior/staff platform engineering position owning Kubernetes across cloud and on-prem, building tooling in Go/Python and setting technical direction; other open roles include observability and developer enablement positions.

ICEYE builds and operates the world's largest SAR satellite constellation. I lead Platform: three teams (Core Platform, Developer Enablement, SRE) that run the foundation engineering teams ship on.
Why it is hard: we run Kubernetes in public cloud, in our own data centers, and inside customer sites that are air-gapped. Same platform, same tooling, no internet. Satellite tasking and image delivery run on it, so downtime is not an option. Stack: Go, Python, K8s, Terraform/OpenTofu, Istio, Vault, LGTM, OpenTelemetry.
