TheraPlug is a behavioral health platform making it easier for patients to find appropriate therapists and access care through insurance, starting in Detroit. The role is a hands-on technical leader/founding CTO who will build product (iOS, Android, responsive web), recruit and assemble the founding engineering team, and ship and operate production software.

I’m Marcelus Brice, founder of TheraPlug (https://theraplug.health). We’re building a behavioral health platform focused on making it easier for patients to find appropriate therapists and access care through insurance, starting in Detroit.
We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader who can build alongside a lean team and help recruit its founding engineers. You don’t need a previous CTO title, but you should have shipped and operated production software.
The product will support iOS, Android and responsive web, including:
• Patient and provider onboarding, scheduling and secure messaging. • AI-assisted therapist matching based on clinical needs, preferences, insurance and availability. • Provider credential verification and payer enrollment workflows. • Insurance eligibility checks and estimated patient costs. • Secure video sessions and clinician-reviewed AI documentation.
Relevant experience includes full-stack development, mobile apps, healthcare integrations, sensitive-data security and practical AI implementation. We value clear architecture, accessible design and thoughtful use of established services.
Compensation: We are pre-funding and cannot offer an immediate cash salary. We’re seeking someone interested in an equity-first founding role, with a planned transition to salary when funding supports payroll. Equity, responsibilities, time commitment and compensation triggers would be agreed in writing before work begins. Funding timing is not guaranteed.
