CNIO is one of Europe's leading cancer research centres. The role is a systems administrator position responsible for petabyte-scale storage, backup and archive (including tape), Linux and Windows servers, and AD/M365 account management, with room to take ownership of core systems.
What you’ll do
- Run and maintain petabyte-scale storage, backup and archive (including tape)
- Operate Linux and Windows servers
- Manage AD and M365 accounts and file-share permissions
- Ensure restores actually work
- Work alongside senior colleagues and take ownership of core systems
What they’re looking for
- 3+ years of hands-on Linux and Windows server administration (not desktop support)
- Experience with enterprise storage or backup/restore
- Scripting experience (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Concern for reliable restores
- Bonus: experience with large-scale storage, tape and archiving, M365, virtualisation, config management, ENS or ISO 27001
- English and Spanish at professional working level

We're hiring a systems administrator to run the infrastructure behind our research: petabyte-scale storage, backup and archive (including tape), Linux and Windows servers, and AD/M365 accounts.
