Typify is an education company for engineers that teaches functional programming and system design and pairs learners with projects and job prospects. The role is a forward-deployed AI Application Engineer to ship LLM features close to users, iterate on real usage, and design guardrails and evaluations (a Product Engineer role is also hiring to own features end-to-end).
What you’ll do
- Forward-deployed: ship LLM features close to real users and iterate on real usage
- Design guardrails and evaluations for LLM features
- Work on RAG, agents, prompt and context engineering, and tool orchestration
- Own features end-to-end: scope, build, ship, measure, iterate (Product Engineer role)
What they’re looking for
- Mid-senior level experience
- Experience with Angular, NestJS, and Postgres
- Strong product sense and UX obsession for sensitive health products (Product Engineer bonus)
- Bonus experience: conversational/voice AI, fine-tuning, healthcare AI, MCP, consumer or health product experience, early-stage startup experience

AI Application Engineer. Forward-deployed, ship LLM features close to real users, iterate on real usage, design guardrails and evals. RAG, agents, prompt and context engineering, tool orchestration. Bonus: conversational/voice AI, fine-tuning, healthcare AI, MCP.
Product Engineer. Own features end to end, scope, build, ship, measure, iterate. Strong product sense, UX obsession for a sensitive health product. Bonus: consumer or health product experience, early-stage startup time.
