Senior Software Engineer - Coin, Ajaib
Feb, 2025 - Present
Performance-focused Go backend engineer for a crypto brokerage/exchange, building low-latency, event-sourced services (Kafka WAL) with strong ownership in state management, recovery, and production reliability.
Built a single-node in-memory matching engine processing full order lifecycle---validation, state mutation, and synchronous Kafka WAL persistence (50--80% of per-request latency)---sustaining 20K+ RPS at p99 <10ms, with OS-level CPU affinity pinning to eliminate cross-core cache migration on hot-path state.
Designed event-sourced architecture for coin-wallet and matching-engine using Kafka-backed WAL with periodic state snapshots (every 10K events) to GCS, achieving $\sim$3s cold-start recovery (snapshot download + WAL replay).
Built a replication service that continuously verifies WAL events against materialized state for consistency auditing.
Implemented a schema-versioned binary state store with contiguous memory layout for cache-friendly bulk serialization during snapshots, supporting zero-downtime field addition, removal, and type migration across deployments.
