Engineer and advocate working at the intersection of three passions: computer graphics, artificial intelligence, and developer relations. I started in real-time rendering and computational geometry, spent years building high-performance, web-based 3D viewers and CAD tools, and today I pair deep graphics expertise with generative AI while empowering developer communities. Always curious, always building, always sharing.
Experience
As a developer advocate for Autodesk Platform Services (APS), I create learning content, present at technical events, and organize educational initiatives to empower the developer community. Over the past two years my focus has shifted significantly toward AI — building LLM-powered prototypes, defining internal best practices for AI-assisted development, and helping both customers and colleagues understand how to integrate modern AI tooling into real-world engineering workflows.
- Designed and built an experimental MCP server (Model Context Protocol) for the APS API, enabling AI assistants such as Claude and GitHub Copilot to securely query design data and construction projects; project was adopted by the Autodesk Platform Services org and is now maintained as an official reference implementation.
- Presented 'Giving LLMs Secure Access to Design Data with MCP and APS' at Autodesk University 2025, covering MCP architecture, custom server development, and real-world AI-enhanced AEC workflows.
- Authored tutorials, blog posts, and runnable code samples on building design chatbots (Amazon Bedrock + APS, LangChain agents, Claude API), RAG pipelines over APS metadata, and MCP server development.
- Taught hands-on workshops on building custom MCP servers, design chatbots, and AI agents on top of Autodesk Platform Services.
- Explored and documented emerging AI-connectivity standards including WebMCP and MCP Apps, evaluating their applicability to browser-based APS Viewer workflows.
- Evangelized Claude Code and spec-driven development within Autodesk — running internal demos, writing guides, and advocating for agent orchestration patterns to improve engineering productivity.
- Built and shared prototypes across AR/VR, AI, low-code/no-code, and open-format categories to demonstrate platform capabilities at the bleeding edge.
- Organized technical events including APS Accelerators and Online Bootcamps; presented at Autodesk University, APS DevCon, TechX, and external conferences.
Development of HMI/SCADA solutions using modern web standards and .NET.
As a software engineer, I was responsible for real-time graphics and rendering in various web-based products and services. Over time I advanced to software architect and technical lead roles on other projects which were also web-based.
- Technical lead for Large Model Viewer (LMV) - a highly performant, WebGL-based renderer for massive 3D models, used across Autodesk products and its cloud platform.
- Engineered the core real-time rendering pipeline: GLSL shaders, GPU-side optimization, and hierarchical level-of-detail (HLOD) for streaming and rendering huge scenes in the browser.
- Technical lead and a software architect for Tinkercad - a popular, entry-level web-based CAD modeling tool.
- Lead graphics developer for the 123D Online web platform.
Development of HMI/SCADA solutions using modern web and .NET technologies.
- Built various features for the 3D visualization of the company's flagship product, for example, COLLADA import, collision detection, mesh simplification.
