• Senior Software Engineer, Sabre

  Jul, 2024 - Present

  • Developed gRPC microservice, written in Java, and deployed to Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), to replace mainframe logic and migrate 10 thousand transactions per second. The service managed session data using Redis, with Pub/Sub for expired session notifications.

  • Worked with product manager to re-architect internal identity/access web app, so that external customers could use it.

  • Developed Terraform code for multi-region deployment to GCP, including DNS and routing to GKE services.

  • Designed and implemented fully automated performance testing in unique ephemeral environments using Kubernetes namespaces. This includes the setup/cleanup of both GKE and Terraform resources. This accomplishment enabled the team to run parallel performance tests, in order to validate traffic requirements.

  • Implemented service-to-service authentication using GCP IAM credentials, which allowed for finer grained security and visibility on transactions.

  • Responsible for planning, defining, and refining the work for my development team.

• Software Engineer III, Sabre

  • Migrated security dashboard application from on-premise to Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). Migrated database to Google BigQuery, and translated complex SQL queries to new dialect.

  • Wrote Terraform code to migrate identity management application onto Google Compute Engine (GCE).
