Nathan worked as an automation test specialist in one of my delivery teams at GE Capital ANZ who were responsible for the ongoing development of the online servicing platform. Nils was responsible for single handedly introducing test automation to the QA practice at GE Capital ANZ, building a very comprehensive test suite using open technology. The net impact of Nathan's work was a huge improvement in test coverage, and a dramatic reduction in the manual effort required to complete testing - this allowed the development team to rapidly deploy to production, and helped to deliver significant value to the consumer business. This was an amazing achievement in a highly regulated financial services organisation, and on a heavily scrutinised internet banking platform. Nils has an amazing attitude, a very strong work ethic, coupled with can do attitude, and is a great guy to have in any team.
