About

I'm an experienced Software Developer, known for creating complex applications, especially during my time at Validately and UserZoom. I utilize my broad range of technical skills to enhance customer experience and streamline operations. I believe in constant learning and teaming up with others to combine tech know-how with business goals.

Work Experience

Work Experience

  • Software Engineer, Winware.ai

    Sep, 2022 - Sep, 202311 months

Backend Software Engineer, specialised in developing core algorithms using Typescript and Node.js, and implementing AI-enhanced statistical models for product usage pattern discovery.

  • Lead Software Engineer, UserZoom

    Apr, 2020 - Aug, 20222 years 4 months

Oversaw the maintenance and enhancement of a remote moderated UX testing tool, initially developed at Validately. Employed technical expertise in Webrtc, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, Socket.io, React, Redux, and AWS for efficient functioning and upgrading of the tool.

  • Senior Software Engineer, UserZoom

    Jun, 2019 - Apr, 202010 months

As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, I executed key leadership in the robust integration project of Validately's moderated solution into the UserZoom platform. The resulting success of this project has expanded its availability across two platforms - UserZoom and UserZoom GO (formerly Validately).

  • Software Developer, Validately (Acquired by UserZoom)

    Jun, 2016 - Jun, 20193 years

In my role as a Full-Stack Software Developer, I was responsible for developing critical applications. Some of the key projects I led include:

The design and execution of a remote moderated UX testing tool, employing a React-based frontend, Express/Socket.io driven backend, and a Google Chrome Extension, all written in TypeScript. Praised by both management and customers for reducing the number of unresolved issues, I worked solo on the project before later creating a collaborative team to maintain and extend the functionality of the solution. Our tech stack included Webrtc, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, Socket.io, React, Redux, and Google Cloud Platform.

Another highlight was the design and creation of an unmoderated UX testing tool, which was a Google Chrome Extension featuring screen recording capabilities. Technologies deployed for the project were TypeScript, MediaRecorder, Node.js, Express, and ffmpeg.

Additionally, I contributed to various smaller scales yet significant projects, such as the internal logic routing system and the admin dashboard.

  • Software Developer, Orbis Investment Advisory Limited

    Aug, 2013 - Sep, 20152 years 1 month

As a Software Developer at the Quantitative Analysis Department of Orbis Investment Advisory Limited Mutual Fund, I was part of multiple transformative projects.

Took the lead in designing and implementing a sophisticated analysis tool for quantitative analysts. This tool, used for the backtesting and valuation of alpha models during portfolio construction, was based on Reactive (Rx) and Dataflow Programming principles. Operating as the singular developer in a team of four, the tool was positively received, becoming the primary tool for several analysts.

In another project, I developed a tool for Portfolio Managers to efficiently manage their portfolios' cash flows. This was a C# application with a WPF user interface and a WCF backend service connected to SQL Server. As the lead implementer in a three-member team, we were able to greatly improve the daily workflow of Portfolio Managers.

Contributed significantly to the development of a research tool used to identify and gauge the performance of various market themes based on complex user-defined criteria. This was a collaborative project in a team of five.

Regularly verified and optimized numerous financial models developed by quantitative analysts, using SQL, Matlab, and R.

Offered reliable support for aged legacy software, primarily developed in Visual Basic 6 and SQL.

  • Software Programmer, University of Warsaw

    Oct, 2010 - May, 20121 year 7 months

As an active participant in the Synat research project, funded by the National Research and Development Center's strategic programme, my contributions were several-fold:

For my master's thesis, I developed an innovative semantic faceted search engine. This project was meticulously executed using Python and C#, with a PostgreSQL database at its core.

I co-authored a relational database schema, designed for the efficient storage and query of parsed scientific articles, further enhancing our project's scope.

I was also involved in gathering, parsing, and preprocessing of scientific data derived from a multitude of sources, playing a key role in data management and understanding.
