Seeking software + data engineering role.
  • Solo developer for iOS native app TrashMapper that uses crowdsourcing to geo-tag locations of waste in communities (see website). Intention is to collect and use data to evaluate waste management/environmental policies.
  • Researching technologies/products to build out employee scheduling software for “gig” employees based on SMS messaging.
  • Back-end/API development with Python & FastAPI framework to build full stack apps & deliver data in JSON format. Includes User auth (JSON web token), PostgreSQL integration via SQLAlchemy, and deployment to AWS with Ubuntu.
  • Consistently write posts on portfolio site dedicated to learning new technologies, continuing education, or projects.
A start-up medical device company focusing on the development of combination drug/device `smart` capsules to treat GI tract related diseases.
  • Technical lead wearing many hats, managing electronics and helping develop software (embedded/desktop) to support development of class III electro-mechanical smart capsules to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal diseases.
  • Evaluate capsule localization algorithm through internal tools and perform analysis on preclinical/clinical data with Python. Develop ex-vivo bench test methods/models to test data collection on device and algorithm changes.
  • All capsule/fixture electronics originally outsourced. Brought all electrical development in house for drug delivery capsule, including board bring-up, screening, design/build documentation, and test fixture development.
  • Successfully led cross functional teams to drive capsule development maturity forward and complete several preclinical and clinical studies, evaluating overall device function and accuracy.
  • Software: Debug embedded C & write in python for desktop applications that automate device testing/builds.
  • Electrical: Design Rigid & flex PCB/PCBAs in Altium for capsule and bed-of-nails test box design.
  • Accomplishments: Technical lead for 1-month long clinical study evaluating device performance in humans.
Electrical engineer working in new product development. Design, build, and test electrical solutions for HDDs for a high volume enterprise business segment.
  • Manage the full life cycle of electrical designs taking new projects from prototype to mass production. Work cross functionally between several groups & core teams supporting multiple products (shipping ~100-250k units/qtr).
  • Perform analog and digital design for new prototypes. Complete board bring-up by analyzing all electrical sub-systems: SoC, DDR (timing/SI), power ASIC, peripheral sensors/memory that use I2C/SPI, and integration of PCBA onto HDD.
  • Use internal scripting tools built in Python to perform stress testing and to evaluate new firmware/electrical features.
