Systems Plus Pvt. Ltd.

Technical lead for EdAssist Solutions within the Bright Horizons GCC engagement, supporting sustaining engineering, modernization, cloud migration, and ongoing platform evolution for enterprise education assistance products across Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Azure, and Kubernetes.

  • Contributed to the final phase and ongoing evolution of the EdAssist modernization program, where a large legacy monolith was decomposed into 40+ Java and Spring Boot microservices deployed on Kubernetes, enabling retirement of the legacy monolith in 2025.
  • Operated in a sustaining engineering team requiring end-to-end visibility across the EdAssist ecosystem, covering L3 support, production issue resolution, new feature delivery, migration projects, and modernization work.
  • Owned and maintained rules-service, a business-critical Spring Boot microservice integrated with Blaze Advisor rule engine to compute eligibility decisions across 414 clients, with an average of 25 rules per client maintained by the team.
  • Supported eligibility computation across program, application, participant, benefit, and book reimbursement checks by integrating rules-service with the rule engine and related EdAssist microservices.
  • Led migration of the PPE job from a single large Azure D48s v5 VM-based packaged deployment with 48 CPUs and 192 GB RAM to an AKS-based Kubernetes job capable of scaling across up to six Standard_B16as_v2 nodes.
  • Improved PPE job reliability from approximately 125K participant failures to around 1,200 participant failures while processing approximately 6M participants and generating 21M eligibility results per run, reducing the error rate to approximately 0.02%.
  • Influenced Azure-based architecture for six incremental email notification jobs by integrating them into the existing notification stack across job-service, app-service, and email-service using Azure Service Bus topics.
  • Lead ongoing Angular modernization from AngularJS to Angular 21 across EdAssist client-facing tuition and loan flows, improving developer experience, deployment experience, test coverage, Sonar integration, and WCAG accessibility checks.
  • Mentored 4 developers and 2 quality engineers at EdAssist, improving onboarding, delivery ownership, engineering practices, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Introduced and reinforced engineering standards including conventional commits, atomic pull requests, repository README guidelines, code review discipline, and practical adoption of modern development practices.
  • Represent one of 4 developers from a group of approximately 30 on the EdAssist AI Advisory Panel led by the Senior Architect, advising on custom agents, token monitoring, usage tracking, Copilot adoption, peer programming, agentic programming, and AI development best practices.

Freshworks Inc.

Owned UI and middleware components for Freshworks Cloud Platform, an internal Kubernetes onboarding and developer enablement platform used by engineering teams to provision, manage, and deploy applications across AWS EKS environments.

  • Built and enhanced Freshworks Cloud Platform capabilities used by approximately 1500 users across 20+ tenants, enabling engineering teams to provision, manage, and deploy applications on AWS EKS through self-service workflows.
  • Contributed to a Kubernetes onboarding platform that reduced AWS EKS cluster provisioning from a manual 1-2 day engineering process to approximately 20-30 minutes through a self-service, form-based workflow.
  • Enabled teams to provision clusters by submitting required configuration details such as node type, VPC, subnet CIDRs, and security groups without needing deep Kubernetes expertise.
  • Supported self-service deployment capabilities for deployment sets and jobs, including canary deployments and rolling update deployments.
  • Built a secrets management console using Python Flask as a wrapper over a CLI tool, enabling engineers to manage AWS Secrets Manager entries through a user-friendly interface integrated with Freshworks Cloud Platform.
  • Supported platform operations across approximately 200 to 250 Kubernetes clusters, helping product teams resolve platform queries and operate services more effectively.
  • Collaborated on requirements, solution design, and mockups for the next version of the Kubernetes onboarding platform, improving developer experience and platform usability.
  • Led Vue 3 UI development while aligning implementation with the organization's design system and reusable frontend patterns.
  • Enhanced middleware architecture by introducing an authentication and authorization proxy and applying the Backend-for-Frontend pattern using Spring Boot microservices.
  • Maintained and supported AWS infrastructure components including EKS, RDS, S3, Route 53, SQS, EC2, and ECR for platform and application workloads.
