  Ended the rotational program and stayed with the Policy Management tech team doing backend development in Java. Originally collaborated with 5 backend developers to build a Spring Boot application to manage policy breaches and exceptions, satisfying Consent Order requirements as a result. I've since had to wear various hats under this application while also balancing a workload for our other projects.

  • Implemented key features such as the JBPM workflow engine to assign each request to different users, REST API calls to an internal document management solution that supports file uploads, and Autosys jobs to detect and notify users of overdue requests.

  • Partnered with external application teams to synchronize Policy data across different platforms, involving 2-way Kafka integration, APIs to support reconciliation of data mismatches, and the migration of legacy data.

  • Optimized complex SQL queries in collaboration with the database team to enhance performance and enforce business logic in the Oracle environment.

  • Translated business requirements from product owners to actionable technical tasks that aided in development and testing, and vice versa to explain code and architecture to auditors with no technical background.

  • Accelerated and maintained adoption of an internal CI/CD platform for our sector to help reach the 90% Consent Order target by conducting onboarding interviews for over 40 applications to determine eligibility, tracking onboarding journeys for over 11 mandated applications, and providing technical support for the pipeline to developers.

  Collaborated in an interdisciplinary team of students to help an infrastructure company located in Recife, Brazil find a more streamlined method of data collection.

  • Utilized the Telegram Bot API and the Google Sheets API to build a messenger bot in Python that updates vehicle information (mileage, gas station receipts, equipment used, problems reported, etc. ) on a spreadsheet.

  • Experimented with extra features, such as automatically saving messages and photos sent, saving sender information, specifying categories of a report with an inline keyboard, and recording timestamps.
